Publication Ethics & Malpractice Statement
The Journal of Asia Entrepreneurship and Sustainability (JAES) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. The journal follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines to ensure transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct throughout the publication process.
1. Authorship and Originality
All manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. Authors are responsible for ensuring the authenticity of their work and must appropriately cite all sources. Only individuals who have made significant scholarly contributions should be listed as authors.
2. Plagiarism Policy
JAES enforces a strict plagiarism policy. All submissions are screened using reliable plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarized content will be rejected or retracted if already published.
3. Conflicts of Interest
Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest that could influence the manuscript's evaluation or publication.
4. Data Integrity and Reproducibility
Authors must ensure that all data presented is accurate, verifiable, and reproducible. Fabrication, falsification, or selective reporting of data constitutes unethical behavior.
5. Ethical Approval for Research Involving Humans or Animals
Research involving human participants or animals must have received prior approval from an appropriate ethics committee. A statement confirming ethical approval must be included in the manuscript.
6. Corrections and Retractions
JAES will publish corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions when necessary to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.
7. Complaints and Appeals
Authors who wish to contest editorial decisions may submit a formal appeal to the Editor-in-Chief. Complaints will be investigated in line with COPE procedures, and outcomes will be communicated transparently.
8. Post-Publication Discussions
JAES encourages scholarly dialogue. Readers may submit commentaries or letters to the Editor regarding published work. These will be reviewed and, if appropriate, published in subsequent issues.
9. Intellectual Property and Licensing
All articles in JAES are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. Authors retain copyright of their work. This license permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction, provided the original work is properly cited.
10. Ethical Oversight
Any concerns regarding ethics, authorship, conflicts of interest, or research misconduct are handled by the Editorial Board in accordance with COPE best practices.
11. Advertising Policy
JAES does not publish commercial advertisements. Editorial and peer review decisions are made independently of any financial interests.
12. Direct Marketing
Any direct marketing activities, including manuscript invitations, are conducted in an appropriate, targeted, and non-intrusive manner. Information about the journal is always accurate and not misleading.
