Author Guidelines
The Journal of Asia Entrepreneurship and Sustainability (JAES) (ISSN: 1176-8592) is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed academic journal published by Asia Academic Press. It explores the intersections of entrepreneurship, sustainability, and socio-economic development within Asian contexts. The journal welcomes empirical, theoretical, and policy-oriented contributions that provide insights into sustainable innovation, inclusive growth, and regional development.
Publisher History
The Journal of Asia Entrepreneurship and Sustainability was published by RossiSmith Academic Publishing from 2005 until the April 2025 issue. From May 2025 onwards, the journal has been published by Asia Academic Press.

Manuscript Structure
Each manuscript should include the following sections:

Title Page: Title, Author(s) names, affiliations, ORCID IDs, and contact email (JAES encourages all authors to provide ORCID IDs to ensure proper attribution and discoverability of their scholarly work).

Tables and figures should be embedded within the text at appropriate positions and numbered sequentially.
Referencing Style
All references must follow APA 7th edition formatting. Authors are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all citations.
Ethical Guidelines
JAES follows high standards of academic ethics. By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that:

The submission is original and not plagiarized.

All authors have contributed significantly.

Any conflicts of interest are disclosed.

Ethical approval has been obtained for studies involving human or animal subjects.
Plagiarism is checked using industry-standard tools. Submissions with unethical content or misconduct will be rejected.
Use of Generative AI Tools
JAES does not permit listing Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Bard, image generators) as authors. Authors may use such tools only for language editing, idea structuring, or figure preparation, and such use must be disclosed in the manuscript (e.g., in acknowledgments or methodology). Authors remain fully responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and originality of their work.
Publication Ethics
JAES adheres to the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and expects authors, reviewers, and editors to follow COPE guidelines in cases of misconduct or ethical disputes.
Peer Review Policy
All submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure quality, originality, and relevance. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the field.
Reviewers are selected based on subject expertise and absence of conflicts of interest. Both authors and reviewers remain anonymous during the review process. Authors will normally receive reviewer feedback within 4–6 weeks of submission.

Upon acceptance, authors retain copyright of their work and grant JAES the right of first publication under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
This license allows free access, sharing, adaptation, and reuse of published content, provided the original author(s) and source are properly credited.
Open Access Policy
JAES follows a Gold Open Access model. All published articles are freely accessible without subscription or paywall, promoting global knowledge dissemination and impact.
Advertising Policy
JAES does not publish or display commercial advertising in any form.
Direct Marketing Statement
JAES does not engage in unsolicited direct marketing activities. All calls for papers, announcements, and invitations are targeted and relevant to the academic community.
Publication Charges
JAES operates on an Article Processing Charge (APC) model to cover editorial, peer review, and publication costs. Details of APCs are available on the Publication Charges page.
Archiving and Preservation
The journal is hosted on the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, which supports long-term preservation of published content. JAES participates in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), ensuring that all articles are securely archived and remain accessible in perpetuity.
Authors are also encouraged to self-archive pre-prints, accepted manuscripts, and published versions in institutional repositories, personal websites, or disciplinary archives, provided appropriate bibliographic details credit initial publication in JAES.
